WEDDINGS
Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage. Your wedding ceremony and vows to each other will be the cornerstone of your life together, they should reflect the reasons you have decided to marry. As a celebrant I can assist you to create the wedding YOU want. The form of ceremony can be as formal or as informal as you require, it is my mission to help make your big day as memorable and enjoyable as possible. I handle all the lodgement of documents and marriage details with the relevant Government Departments. I will provide you with resources to enable you to compose your own ceremony, or you may prefer me to put your wishes into words for you. You may have a favourite song or poem you would like to include, perhaps you would like a theme, remember this is your wedding.
There are certain legal requirements that must be observed.
A Notice of Intended Marriage form (NOIM) must be completed and witnessed no later than one month and one day before the marriage.
If born in Australia you will require a Birth Certificate, if born overseas a current passport showing your date of birth and birthplace. For persons previously married – a Decree Nisi Absolute is necessary, if your previous spouse is deceased, an official Death Certificate is required. If one of the parties is under 18 years of age, permission of a parent or guardian is required. You will need two witnesses (over 18 years of age).
Please contact me by phone or email should you have any enquiries regarding any aspect of your wedding plans, or to organise an obligation-free appointment to discuss your marriage requirements.
REAFFIRMATIONS/COMMITMENT CEREMONY
Regardless of whether you are a couple who have been together for many years and wish to reaffirm vows made to each other long ago, or you are a couple who wish to make a formal commitment to each other for the first time. I am pleased to assist you to design a ceremony that reflects the way you feel.
BABY NAMINGS
A baby naming is a non-denominational ceremony to welcome your child into the family and formally announce the name you have chosen. God-parents, mentors and special people in their lives may be recognised. Readings may be chosen and given by selected people, prayers and wishes for the childs future, symbolism using candles can all be incorporated into a loving ceremony for your little one.
FUNERALS, MEMORIAL SERVICES
Dealing with the loss of a loved one can be difficult to bear, whether suddenly without warning or anticipated because of illness, the sense of loss can be overwhelming. Many people find some consolation from a service that celebrates the life of their loved family member.
Readings, music, mementoes, photographs, candles, eulogies and family stories can all be used to pay tribute. Eulogies and family stories may be written and delivered by family members or friends, however if you prefer I will write and present your sentiments for you..
Please contact me to arrange a meeting with family members, this meeting can be held anywhere you find suitable. The interview is not limited to a time and I will ensure to cover all aspects of the life to be remembered.
